This year, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi will conduct the GATE examination on February 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2020. The applications for the same will begin from September 3 at the official website, gate.iitd.ac.in. The online application process will be closed on September 24, 2019.
A new paper for Biomedical Engineering introduced in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) from the year 2020. This is expected to unify undergraduate syllabus of Biomedical Engineering among several universities, and to help stimulating the growth of research and product development in India, said a statement from IIT Madras which conducted GATE last year.
The exam will now be conducted on 25 subjects including Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering among other subjects.
