Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee organised an Institute Lecture Series on ‘Gross Environment Product (GEP): An Unmeasured Measure’ on February 12, 2020, from 5 pm onwards at Bose Auditorium, Department of Physics. The environment reports of the United Nations (UN) on water, air, and health are threatening. Soon in India too, 11 big cities will face a water crisis. These reports conclude that if by 2050 necessary measures are not taken, the human race will be affected severely.
IIT Roorkee is an institute of national importance imparting higher education in engineering, sciences, management, architecture and planning, and humanities and social sciences. Since its establishment in 1847, the institute has played a vital role in providing technical manpower and know-how to the country.
