Due to the severe cold wave in the region, All government and private schools up to class 12 to remain closed for the next two days in Ghaziabad. The schools were ordered to be shut as per an order issued by Ghaziabad District Magistrate (DM) Ajay Shankar Pandey.
The development comes as northern India, including national capital Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, is under the grip of a severe cold wave.
Meanwhile, the district administration on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, clarified that no orders have been issued regarding the closure of schools and educational institutions. It must be mentioned that government and private schools are closed in several districts of Uttar Pradesh in the backdrop of a sudden dip in the mercury.
“No orders regarding leaves in schools and educational institutions have been passed. The schools will remain open as per the schedule decided by the respective management,” the administration clarified.
